Store shelves in Austin, Texas neighbourhoods were found emptied on August 25 as residents braced themselves for wild weather from Hurricane Harvey. ABC news reported flights were cancelled and major events postponed while the storm continued to lash coastal towns. Hurricane Harvey ramped up to Category 4 on Friday, with top sustained wind speeds of 125 mph at 60 miles off the Texas coastline late Friday afternoon.
