The five attackers killed by Spanish police in Cambrils on August 17 appeared several times during that day in CCTV video recorded at a filling station, the Catalan news site Ara has reported. The five were killed after the car they were in drove into a crowd of people, hours after a similar attack by a member of what authorities described as the same “terrorist cell” on Las Ramblas in Barcelona left 14 dead. Ara said that Mohamed Hychami was recorded just after 4 pm, before the Las Ramblas attack, after he had had an accident on a nearby road which officials said caused the group to change their plans. Between 6 and 7 pm, Houssaine Abouyaaqoub, the brother of Younes Abouyaaqoub, who was driving the van in the Las Ramblas attack, according to police, was recorded in the station. Shortly before 9 pm, Omar Hychami, Houssaine Abouyaaqoub and Moussa Oukabir were recorded buying lighters. The attack and subsequent shootout at Cambrils occurred shortly afterward. This video was sent to Storyful by the filling station and shows three individuals described by Ara as Omar Hychami, Houssaine Abouyaaqoub and Moussa Oukabir. A profile of Moussa Oukabir can be found here. Credit: Anonymous via Storyful
