Typhoon Hato slammed southern Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau on August 23, flooding streets, overturning cars and severely damaging roads and structures in multiple cities. This timelapse shows the storm’s winds sweeping over Macau. Three people died and two remain missing in Macau after the storm hit, according to reports from The Standard. At least 153 were injured, the South China Morning Post reported. In nearby Hong Kong, Typhoon Hato’s arrival caused the city’s observatory to raise the typhoon 10 signal – the highest out of Hong Kong’s eight storm warnings. This is the first time a number 10 signal has been issued since 2012. Credit: YouTube/Luke Lienau via Storyful
