At least three people were killed after Typhoon Hato hit Macau on August 23, according to authorities cited by Reuters and other reports, as the severe weather caused flooding and damage to property. Roads were submerged on Macau and vehicles were covered in floodwater. Trees fell over and government offices, schools, and many private businesses were closed. This timelapse video shows powerful winds buffeting the city’s coastline and causing some ships to bump into each other in the water. Credit: Instagram/austinmonkey via Storyful
