Three people were killed and two others remained missing after Typhoon Hato hit Macau on August 23, according to authorities cited by Reuters and other reports, as the severe weather caused flooding and damage to property. Roads were submerged on Macau and vehicles were covered in floodwater. Trees fell over and government offices, schools, and many private businesses were closed.
