When Angel received a call that her mother had passed a stranger held her and cried with her. In the moment of rush, Angel forgot to ask for her name, and was on a mission to find this mystery woman who helped her in the time of need.

Angel was shopping on Black Friday when she received a devastating call to found out that her mother, who was only 57 years of age, had passed away. Shocked, Angel crumbled in the middle of the store and started crying uncontrollably. That’s when a stranger got on the floor next to Angel and they cried together as they held each other tight.

Under the circumstances, Angel didn’t get the mystery woman’s name, but days later, she longed to thank the stranger that consoled her.

31-year-old Angel Mott from Des Moines was on a mission to find the stranger who lent her a helping hand in the saddest moment in her entire life. However, that seemed like a mission impossible because she didn’t even know her name. All she knew was that the woman was in her 30s and had purple hair.

This mystery woman was incredibly tender and compassionate to Angel in her darkest moments. Instead of averting her gaze and breezing by, she actually stopped and asked what was wrong, after which she sagged to the floor, held Mott and sobbed with her.

Now, Angel was on a mission to find this mystery woman, so she turned to Facebook for help and got the answer. The mystery woman’s name was Stephanie. Later, the two women reconnected at the funeral home where they held each other and cried again.

“That hug means the world to me. It made me feel like people actually still care”, said Angel Mott in tears. This story should serve as a reminder that there are still good people out there who are willing to help in times of need!
