When Kenyada Waters saw a man with a cardboard sign asking for help on the side of the road she decided to lend him a helping hand by performing a simple act of kindness. She stopped to hear his story and she realized that she wanted to help this unfortunate stranger.

Richard was a tree trimmer for 20 years but was laid off. Now he was down on his luck and asking for help. Fortunately, kind citizen Kenyada Waters spotted him on the streets, got interested in his story, and decided to help.

Without hesitating, she paid for his cell phone to be turned back on. Miraculously, as soon as the phone powered up, Richard had job opportunities waiting for him. Now, this good man is back on his feet thanks to the random act of kindness Kenyada provided.

Namely, Kenyada Waters was driving through town when she noticed a man on the side of the road holding up a cardboard sign that read, "Laid off 2 long. Anything helps." While, all of the cars drove right past him, Kenyada decided to stop and hear him out!

The man introduced himself and explained his situation. In addition, Richard complained that his cell phone was cut off because he ran out of money, therefore he couldn’t even get in touch with employers.

While he stood on the side of the road with a cardboard sign was his last resort many people would drive by him and yell out, "Get a job you stupid, lazy bum!" Richard told Waters in tears. This unfortunate man had submitted over 20 job applications but since his phone was turned off, he wasn't able to hear back from employers.

When you see strangers in need, extend your hand don't point it!
