Six people were rescued from flash floods behind the Linq Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on August 4, according to the Clark County Fire Department. The National Weather Service reported a record amount of rainfall on the Las Vegas Strip on Friday. This video shows passengers climbing on top of a taxi to avoid the floodwaters that came rushing through the parking garage at the Linq hotel. According to Thomas Lingard, who recorded the video, the Las Vegas wash runs through the hotel. This time, the flood happened so fast that the hotel’s engineering department did not have time to put up barricades to prevent the flooding. Credit: Instagram/Thomas Lingard via Storyful
