A human chain of an estimated 30,000 Ahmadiyya Muslims was made in East Worldham, Alton, on July 30, as part of the annual Jalsa Salana festival. The festival celebrates the UK’s Ahmadiyya Muslim community, who advocate a peaceful revival of Islam and condemn Islamic extremism. The gathering is the UK’s largest Islamic convention, according to the Evening Standard.. Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, was a special guest at the event.
