Take a look at this awesome looking boy!! His color is one that we have not seen a whole lot of and it is fun to have a great riding horse to go with that color. Cee Hickory’s Gold is a 2016 AQHA palomino gelding that stands 14.2 hands. Gold, as we call him, is a great all-around ranch and trail horse. He knows how to be around a herd of cows and put in a day's work, but he is also just as happy taking you down the trail for a leisure trail ride as well. He is a very handy size with a good solid build to him to be able to carry a variety of different riders. We have really enjoyed taking him through our program and love how he really puts his heart into whatever we are asking him to do. We take him out on trail rides right from the farm alone and he does not give us any trouble. He will ride great in a group and will lead or follow. He is steady on the trail and watches where he places his feet. He has been on lots of different terrain and does not get startled when he sees any wildlife on the trail. Gold is not only a wonderful trail partner, but he is also well rounded in the arena. He has a great neck rein and knows his leads well and will suck it up for a good jog or extend out nicely for a ground covering trot. He is never a lazy horse and will give you his all each time you get him out. Gold is great in cross ties and will stand quiet to get groomed and tacked up. He is wearing shoes all around right now because where we ride can be rocky. He is great for the farrier and the vet and does well in the stall and will come right up to you in the pasture. He really has three smooth, easy to ride gaits, and that makes a full day of riding so much better. He has been ridden in English tack, and western and will even let you hop on bareback. We have lots of different animals on the farm that he has been around, so he is used to whatever you want to throw at him.
