Kayakers took advantage of severe flash flooding that hit Tucson, Arizona, on July 23. The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings in parts of Phoenix and Tucson as monsoon season brought heavy rain and flash floods to the area on Sunday and Monday. While streets of Tucson filled with fast-moving floodwaters, nearby a helicopter rescued 17 hikers who were stranded due to floods at a canyon on the outskirts of Tucson. In this video, two Winterhaven residents decided to take a ride through the waters on a kayak. According to their mother, who took the video, the children in the kayak were under full parental supervision and not in any danger. Credit: Kristen Guynn Culliney via Storyful
