Michael Fish's NBC26 weather forecast

High pressure is finally in charge of our weather pattern for today. This has been a pretty rare occurance to have high pressure dominate for a couple of days, but that looks to be the case. After some low, morning clouds with a bit of patchy drizzle, the sun is going to come out, but it's not really going to heat us up that much. We'll have comfortable humidity with highs topping out in the mid-70s, though a little cooler along Lake Michigan. Tonight, high pressure will continue to rule the pattern with clear and quiet conditions. With the wind becoming light and no cloudcover, the heat at the surface will radiate out to space which will drop the temperatures close to the dew point. When those two temperatures meet with calm conditions, you get some dew or patchy fog. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s.
