Streets in New Orleans, Louisiana, were awash with flood waters on Saturday, July 22, after torrential rain hammered the city. This footage shows Banks Street, in Mid-City. The street is completely submerged with water and various bits of debris can be seen floating about. The New Orleans Advocate reported the “significant flooding stretched throughout the Mid-City area towards Treme,” and about 4.22 inches of water fell on the city within an hour, quoting the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board.
