A cool video compilation of great white sharks breaching in Gansbaai, South Africa.

The video was created by a shark cage diving operator from all his best clips of 2017 so far.

The operator said: “Please note no sharks were harmed or injured during filming. Great White sharks are heavily under threat of extinction on the South African coast line. It is said that the population of Great White sharks on our coast line averages between 350-500 individuals. Most the operators working the shark cage diving industry have Scientists on board their boats which allow them to capture crucial data as well as educate the customers on board these vessels and will hopefully one day help prevent these critically endangered sharks from becoming extinct on our coast line.”

The great white shark has no known natural predators other than, on very rare occasion, the killer whale. The great white shark is arguably the world's largest known extant macropredatory fish, and is one of the primary predators of marine mammals. It is also known to prey upon a variety of other marine animals, including fish and seabirds. It is the only known surviving species of its genus Carcharodon, and is ranked first in having the most recorded shark bite incidents on humans. The IUCN list the great white shark as a vulnerable species, while it is included in Appendix II of CITES. (Wikipedia)
