Firefighters in Northern Ireland said they had an even busier Eleventh Night than usual this year, as they responded to dozens of incidents arising from the huge bonfires lit in loyalist areas ahead of Twelfth of July celebrations. Large bonfires are traditionally lit ahead of the Twelfth, an Ulster Protestant commemoration of victory at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.
