Footage of a pod of whales travelling along the west Australian coastline showed them swimming in pairs, flapping their tails in the waters near Esperance in early July. Whale migration takes place along the western coast from May to December. The migration happens as southern right, humpback and blue whales head towards warmer temperatures.
