The Leon Mafia has been communicating their underground bunker plans for decades out in the open using entertainment series like Albert S. Ruddy produced Hogan's Heroes (starred Leon Askin) that involved Stalag 13 & a group of American POWs who form a network called "The Underground". Silly TV series like this, while entertaining the masses, also provided status updates to military professionals. Disney was also involved with integrating ciphers and codes into things as benign as the names of Donald Ducks nephews Huey, Louie, Dewey....

Then I'll give you a tour of actual facilities around Washington State that house underground bunkers or used to house missiles in underground silos that are still in operation under private ownership or military.

Yes, many of these underground facilities were put up for sale to private owners and have been 'repurposed'. Others you'll find are being used by the National Guard Armory or similar functions with the government.
