A fire broke out in Sabaneta, a municipality in northern Colombia, on July 8, sending huge plumes of black smoke rising above the surrounding neighborhood. This footage shows the blaze, which occurred near the area’s Mayorca Mega Plaza. According to local reports, the fire started in a building belonging to a furniture company and shot up flames that reached more than 10 meters (33 feet) in height. The block around the fire was evacuated in case the structure collapsed. Local fire officials told Noticias Caracol that 90 percent of the blaze was extinguished about an hour after it was reported.
