The severe torrential rains that have been affecting southern China swept through Yangshou County, within China’s Guangxi region, on July 5. This footage shows flooded streets in Yangshou, with locals both wading and piloting boats through the floodwaters. “We got flooded…in Yangshuo stuck with no electricity or water,” the uploader wrote. “Meanwhile locals were excited to catch the fish, snakes and frogs swimming by for dinner.” Within Guangxi, various cities, including Guilin, Liuzhou, Hechi and Wuzhou, have all suffered from flooding and frequent rainfall of about 7 to 9 inches since July 1, according to Epoch Times.
