People on a whale-watching tour hit the jackpot when they saw a swimming black bear near Phillips Arm on British Columbia’s south-central coast on July 1. Nick Templeman from Campbell River, British Columbia, told CHEK News what he thought was a sea otter turned out to be a “nice, fuzzy bear.” Templeman, who led the tour, said the animal eventually went ashore.
