A tiny blue tit was rescued after becoming stuck in a drain in Heathfield, East Sussex, footage published on June 4 by the East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) showed.Rescuers felt “pushing the bird along the pipe was likely to cause it injury so that was out of the question”. They also tried an air pushing machine, which didn’t work. Eventually, they gently flushed the bird out of the pipe, which proved successful. One of the rescuers, Chris, then positioned himself to catch the bird. After being rescued, the bird was dried and warmed using a hairdryer.“The little blue tit is now settled in with two friends now and will eventually be soft released in a little group once old enough,” WRAS said in a post about the rescue.
