Lightning Strikes Chicago Train Line, Sparks Explosions

A Chicago train station was severely damaged as powerful lightning storms rolled through the city on Sunday, July 24. Parts of a canopy of the Illinois Medical District station collapsed and train service along the Blue, Red and Brown lines was halted, according to the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Transit Authority. This video shows electrical sparks and explosions at the Illinois Medical District station.
