The Metaphysical Obelisk and Mythology.

Earth's foundation is built upon the zodiac sign. Man's rebirth is all about 'a time' at an alignment within the zodiac. This is what Rahu & Ketu means "at a time" Which is the solar eclipse.
Understand that the Obelisk also represents the male entity, the phallus. It is the male half (one end ) of the Milky Way.
The Sun's image is moving ahead of the ecliptic plane to pass through the Zodiac signs as it laps the stars over a year. But it is the slow-moving sun's image within the Milky Way (against the Milky Way stars) that changes the constellations over the millennia. Or the rolling, or the twisting of the Milky Way slipping back from the Sun's quicker speed. This is the 'actual' "precession" of the equinoxes that creates the changing constellations over time. The female end of the Milky Way sits down into the core of the vortex of creation. The Moon moves up, down, and around in the central vortex in a S curve cycle over each month. This is her moving through the monthly signs that sit above here on the ecliptic plane.
So the Moari thought the southern cross represented an anchor of a great sky canoe, why is
that? Because it sits at the end of the Milky Way and the Milky Way is the Solar boat that carries the Sun!
