Prince Harry Reveals Personal Concerns About The Future Of The Throne
If you are a person born in the 20th or even 21st century, chances are that you know who Prince Harry is and which kingdom he comes from. It’s been a long time since the world has needed any royal lines, but the process of democratisation of the society hasn’t diminished the fame of one royal family. If you ask any person in the world who the Queen is, they would immediately tell you her name is Queen Elizabeth II. Even though there are still a few countries in Europe and Asia that have an existing royal family, the only one that have stayed in the spotlight has been the House of Windsor. There has been a lot of turmoil when it comes to their name in media, with the divorce of Prince Charles and Lady Diana and later her death in a horrific car crash. Lately, the focus has been on the two grandsons of Queen Elizabeth, Prince William and Prince Harry, second and sixth in line for the throne.
Prince Harry says no one in the Royal Family wants to be king or queen. In an extraordinary interview, he insists however that Britain and other countries still need 'the magic' of the monarchy. He also paid tribute to his "remarkable" grandmother for letting the younger royals do things their own way. On the monarchy, he asks: 'Is there any one of the Royal Family who wants to be king or queen? I don't think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time.'
Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne also criticizes about his mother death and that he had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching him while millions more did on television. He thinks that any child shouldn’t be asked to do that, under any circumstances. One person who wasn’t mentioned in the interview was his father Charles. Sitting next to the queen, who is next to the Queen to take over the crown and burden that comes with it. Both Harry and William have been on the receiving end of criticism about their dedication to their royal roles, carrying out only a fraction of the engagements even their elderly grandparents manage.
Things are moving so fast, especially because of social media, so we are involved in modernizing the monarchy. There will be changes and pressure as they want what’s best for the people!
Prince Harry has become more talked about in media due to his relationship with former American actress Meghan Markle. They announced their engagement in 2017 and got married on May 19, 2018 in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom. Prince Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, titled him Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel. On her marriage, Markle became Duchess of Sussex.
