This Month in Prophecy - August 27, 2023

Isaiah 28 describes future events when ‘scornful men’ will rule the Israeli people in Jerusalem. The word 'scornful' implies scorn for God and His word, a rejection of the Bible and its promises, and of Israel’s Messianic hope. Such men are not necessarily in government alone, but they work in what we might call the ‘deep state’ powers. They are in control of institutions – media, education, the judiciary; they are opinion formers and controllers connected to foreign globalists who have their plans for resolving the Arab – Israeli conflict in a treaty which will lead to what Isaiah calls a ‘covenant with death.’
