Protest marches in support of the victims of the deadly Grenfell Tower fire took place in cities and towns across in the United Kingdom on Saturday, June 17. Protesters shouted “May Must Go” and chanted in favour of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn during a rally outside Downing Street in London on June 17. The Whitehall protest coincided with a meeting between Prime Minister Theresa May and members of some of the families affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, but the protesters carried placards and chanted slogans on a number of issues, including the proposed Tory-DUP coalition deal, concerns over Brexit and austerity measures.
