Alongside the Filipino military, volunteer rescue workers escorted Marawi residents along pre-designated evacuation routes out of the area as fighting entered its fourth week. On June 14, the ICRC said 200,000 have been displaced from the city. June 15 media reports suggest that as many as 1,000 civilians remain trapped inside the city, which was over-run by Maute Group militants linked to Islamic State in late May 2017. The government has imposed martial law over the entire island of Mindanao in response to the current fighting. Credit: Instagram/imantol via Storyful
