At least 18 people were reportedly killed and 19 more injured at the conclusion of an 18-hour siege between security forces and an Islamic militant group in Mogadishu, Somalia, on June 15. Reuters reported the attack began on Wednesday night when a suicide bomber from the Islamist militant group al-Shabaab rammed a car into a hotel in the city. The militants then stormed a restaurant next door, where they held at least 20 people hostage. Al Jazeera reported soldiers cordoned off the streets and killed five attackers. At least five girls and a Syrian man, who was working as a chef in the restaurant, were among the victims. These videos show the aftermath of the attack from inside the restaurant.
