Rumble Crew on the cruise ship Queen Mary 2 performed a rescue on June 10 after a freak storm threw participants of a transatlantic race into chaos. BBC reported the Plymouth to Rhode Island race, which began on May 29, was disrupted by 15 meter (50 foot) waves and wind speeds up to 60 knots. A yachtsman in his 70s, Mervyn Wheatley, was rescued by the luxury liner, according to the Royal Western Yacht Club.
