Watching your children cry can be one of the toughest parts of being a parent. Seeing your child hurt or upset is heartbreaking, so moms and dads rush to help their child in any way they can.

Dads specifically have a special bond with their little girls. There’s no tears a hug from dad can’t dry up.

A 2-year-old named Tiara discovered just how comforting her dad could be when she needed him most. In the viral video, all of Tiara’s sad feelings are taken away after talking to and hugging her dad.

Tiara’s friends had called her “bad,” which hurt her feelings. In the privacy and safety of her dad’s car, sitting on the center console, she expressed how hurt she was.

She sniffled at first, but then dad prompted conversation. “Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked, and that’s when the hysterics started.

Sobbing loudly, Tiara threw herself onto her dad’s broad shoulder. Her dad knew just what to do.

He continued to ask her what happened and encouraged her to talk to him about the situation. Being only 2 years old, Tiara just wanted to continue crying.

Looking at her dad, and starting to calm down, she admitted that she wanted to go see her mommy. Dad agreed, and again asked why she was crying.

In a perfect 2-going-on-16 response, Tiara replied simply, “because.” Tears stopped, her dad asked if she felt better and then gave his little girl some strong advice.

“Don’t let them see you cry, okay,” he told her. She nodded in understanding.

Tiara’s dad knew that there was one more thing to cure his baby girl’s blues. He offered a hug and she gladly accepted.

Tiara threw herself into her dad’s chest and he embraced her in a huge bear hug. That solved everything.

Tiara’s dad’s patience in what some would consider a trivial, terrible-twos situation is being praised. What a loving and caring father!

We wish the dad the best of luck as Tiara continues growing. With a dad like that, we’re sure she’s in good hands that will always offer to dry her tears, and possibly film them if it turns into an adorable and heartwarming moment like this one.
