Colima Volcano Sends Plumes of Smoke, Ash Into Night Sky

Rumble Thick plumes of smoke and ash rose into the air from Mexico’s Colima Volcano during its latest period of activity overnight on Tuesday, October 18. Traces of ash were picked up 100 kilometers (62 miles) away from the volcano in the Mexican states of Colima, Jalisco and Michoacán.
