A mysterious Celtic cross appeared in the middle of a Donegal forest during October, and was first noticed by airline passengers flying into Derry.

According to <a href="http://irishpost.co.uk/incredible-footage-shows-giant-hidden-celtic-cross-growing-co-donegal-forest/" target="_blank">reporting</a> by the Irish Post, the cross at Bogay Hill was planted by forester Liam Emmery, who created the effect using two different types of trees.

Emmery died six years before the cross was discovered, and his wife <a href="http://www.itv.com/news/utv/update/2016-10-24/mysterious-celtic-cross-discovered-in-donegal-forest/" target="_blank">told <span class="caps">UTV</span></a> that she had forgotten about the plantation.

“If he was here, we would have all heard about it because he would have been so proud,” Mrs Emmery said. “He just loved things to be perfect,” she said, “And I think the Celtic Cross is perfect for him.”

The Celtic cross was planned out to near perfection, he must have spent a lot of time with it. Thanks for sharing.
