At least <a href="https://twitter.com/CALFIRESANDIEGO/status/798019856217952256" target="_blank">one firefighter was injured in the 28-acre blaze</a>, which was about <a href="https://twitter.com/CALFIRESANDIEGO/status/797932725399232512" target="_blank">50 percent contained</a> as of Sunday evening.

This timelapse footage shows smoke plumes spewed up by the fire.

“About 40 minutes after the initial report of the fire, I was headed southbound on the I-15, and at the last minute, got off the freeway and took the old highway 395 in hopes of getting close enough to the fire to get some pictures or a timelapse,” the uploader told Storyful. “As the sun backlit the smoke and created a gold light everywhere that I could see, I watched this fire until it seemed contained before continuing on home.”
