For nearly 12 hours from Tuesday night, November 15, into Wednesday morning, the Colima volcano spewed ash and fire from its crater above the Mexican states of Colima and Jalisco. This timelapse shows the volcano’s activity.

Colima is one of North America’s most active volcanoes and last erupted in September.
