Cheeky Orca Rolls Over to Show Tummy in Wellington Harbor

A pod of orca delighted onlookers when they ventured into the waters of Wellington Harbor. A particularly friendly member of the group who rolled over to show its tummy was part of the pack.

The whales were <a href="http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/87556408/orca-bring-a-bit-of-summer-to-wellington-as-they-swim-around-harbour" target="_blank">spotted by numerous people</a> swimming just off Queens Wharf at about 11am on Thursday, December 15.

Orca, also known as Killer Whales, are known to venture into Wellington Harbor in spring and summer <a href="http://www.doc.govt.nz/nature/native-animals/marine-mammals/dolphins/killer-whale-orca/" target="_blank">looking for a unique food source</a>, such as stingrays.
