Dramatic Video Shows Avalanche Roll Towards Juneau, Alaska

Dramatic video has emerged showing an avalanche sweep down a gully towards the Alaskan city of Juneau on December 28.

The <a href="http://juneauempire.com/local/2016-12-29/big-powder-cloud-makes-small-gold-creek-avalanche-look-large-video" target="_blank">Juneau Empire</a>, citing a spokesperson from the City and Borough of Juneau, reported that the avalanche was small but looked larger due to the “powder cloud” as the snow rolled down the Chop Gully. There have been no <a href="http://www.alaskapublic.org/2016/12/29/no-missing-people-or-property-damage-reported-after-avalanche-scare-downtown-juneau/" target="_blank">reports</a> of injuries, missing people or property damage.
