Mexico's Colima Volcano Spews Ash and Smoke

Rumble The most recent eruption at Mexico’s Colima volcano sent plumes of ash and smoke into the sky on January 16.

Colima’s Civil Protection Agency said the eruption caused <a href="https://twitter.com/PC_Colima/status/821035713101762561" target="_blank">several small landslides</a>. The agency also shared <a href="https://twitter.com/PC_Colima/status/821040609838399489" target="_blank">safety recommendations</a> for residents in the area.

Colima is one of North America’s most active volcanoes, a <a href="https://newswire.storyful.com/storylines/*/stories/153551" target="_blank">January 7</a> eruption forced the nearby Colima airport to close.
