A hot air balloon made an emergency landing after getting caught in a downdraft near Edmonton, Alberta, on May 27. Jeffrey Scott caught the moment he and his fellow hot air balloon passengers crash landed in a tree in Edmonton. The group was stuck in the tree for a minute while the pilot fired the burner. Scott told Storyful that "the pilot did everything in his power to arrest the descent, however, the balloon collided with some trees. " The pilot did manage to get the group free before being dragged 100 to 200 feet over a farmer’s field. Luckily no one was hurt and a couple even got engaged on the hot air balloon.
