It’s hard to find a better way to keep yourself cool on a hot summer day than a backyard water slide. The problem, of course, is that store-bought Slip ‘N Slides are usually either too short or too cheaply made - they fall apart after only a couple of uses. And considering they’re often little more than a fancy piece of plastic. You can’t help but wonder why don’t I just make a slide myself. How hard can it be, right? The answer is: not at all. In fact, pretty much anybody can build a massive slip ‘n slide that dwarfs almost anything off-the-shelf for a fraction of the cost. You just need a roll of thick plastic, a few tent stakes or garden staples, and a water hose. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour and, depending on the size, and it shouldn’t cost a lot. Australian summers can be brutal. So this Australia Day a group of brave patriots put their heads together to build a thrilling way to keep cool. In this incredible video, the waterpark that has been invented by the creative Australians is made up of nothing more but a hose and a handle on a rope connected to a hills hoist. They made a circle of waterproof tarps around a clothesline and set off. The video has gone viral very quickly and it deserves the full attention of everybody watching it.

One of the gang can be seen hoisting himself off with the Australian flag covering his back. He then bravely makes impressive huge circles around this unusual slide which makes your head spin. He manages to circle the clothesline four times rapidly getting faster each time, before tumbling off and rolling. He then lets go of the handle and slides down an exit tarp where a friend is waiting to hand him a beer on the way through. He then grabs the bottle before tumbling end over end without spilling a drop, and taking a big swig as if all in one motion.

He doesn’t even lose a drop of the beer. Australians have a knack for adventure, they obviously now how to keep themselves entertained, relaxed and occupied. During summer season, many people go on holiday and they reap the full benefits of what the exotic destinations hide with all the beauties they can offer. But for these funny guys, there is no better way to spend the hot summer days than refreshing themselves in the most unique fashion. What is more, celebrating Australia Day is a big deal and it is all about keeping cool while having a few beers and these guys just know how to nail it as they take the fun to the next level.
