<a href="http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-02-11/severe-weather-in-wa-no-longer-occurring:-bom/8262116" target="_blank">The <span class="caps">ABC</span> reported</a> residents in WA braced for severe thunderstorms, with heavy rainfall swelling waterways and rivers.

The Avon River, seen rushing in the footage, reached a flood mark of four metres on February 11, <a href="http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/western-australia/wa-weather-avon-river-flood-risk-high-in-northam/news-story/00d8a38b37d36b01235498195d0b1044" target="_blank">Perth Now reported</a>, with further flooding alerts being issued as the summer deluge continued to pelt the region.
