An explosion took place at the Grant County PUD substation in Ephrata, Washington, on the evening of Wednesday, February 15.

The blast knocked out power for thousands of people in the Grant County area. Officials said a fault in the power line caused an explosion of sparks and several fires, local media reported.

This video shows the explosion from a distance. “I was in the local Safeway and all the lights started flashing,” the uploader told Storyful over email. “By the time I went outside, I was able to video the substation blowing up.”
