Emergency Services Carry Away Injured After Westminster 'Terrorist Attack'

Emergency services attended what was being described as a “terrorist incident” in the Westminster area on Tuesday, March 22.

One woman was confirmed dead and an unconfirmed number of people were injured when a vehicle drove into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. A police officer was also left in critical condition after being stabbed near the Houses of Parliament.

The parliament building <a href="https://newswire.storyful.com/storylines/*/stories/161447?referred_from=World%20News&collection=westminster-security-alert_3633" target="_blank">was subsequently</a> placed on lockdown, during which time MPs shared <a href="https://newswire.storyful.com/storylines/*/stories/161444?referred_from=World%20News&collection=westminster-security-alert_3633" target="_blank">photos and video</a> from inside the complex.

Video shared to social media shows people being carried away by paramedics on the southern end of the Bridge.
