Rumble A large group of University of Notre Dame graduates staged a walkout as Vice President Mike Pence took the stage at the university’s stadium to give a commcencement speech on Sunday, May 21. An estimated 150 people, including both graduating seniors and family members, took part in the demonstration, according to the South Bend Tribune. The walkout was pre-planned and intended to express discontent at the Trump administration’s policies regarding civil rights, refugees and LGBT issues, according to a May 15 statement released by student activist group We StaND For.
