At 7 years old, mountain climber Tyler Armstrong set out to conquer the world’s highest mountains. Now 13, he’s climbed five of the seven great summits, including Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Mount Elbrus (Russia) and Mount Aconcagua (Argentina). His mission? To raise awareness about Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a degenerative muscle disorder affecting hundreds of thousands of boys around the world. So far, the mountaineer has raised $30,000 for his cause and has his sights set on Mount Everest.
