Little Madison RayLynn Gatlin suffers from, CLOVES syndrome, a very rare genetic mutation.

She is one of only about 200 people diagnosed with CLOVES syndrome.

CLOVES stands for “Congenital, Lipomatous, Overgrowth, Vascular Malformations, Epidermal Nevi and Spinal/Skeletal Anomalies and/or Scoliosis”

The family first discovered the condition during a standard ultrasound test.

As you can see, this mutation has made little Madison’s arms and upper body look huge.

While she looks like she could be quite muscular, the mutation actually causes fluids to build up in the toddler’s arms and chest.

As a part of Madison’s treatment, she wears a specially designed compression shirt.

Madison’s mother gets lots of special instructions from their medical team to help keep this adorable little lady growing healthily.

Madison is just 19 months old, but she’s already very brave around the intimidating medical environment full of strangers touching her with instruments and needles
