Talk about an en-DEER-ing moment! An elderly woman in Norway gets visited by a wild deer each day, asking for snacks and strokes.

A hungry stag called Flippen visits 81-year-old Mette Kvam at her mountainside home in Aurland, Norway, twice a day every day. The widowed pensioner loves to feed the cheeky deer, and the pair have developed an adorable bond over the past four years. The cute scene was caught on camera by 52-year-old Britt Haugsevje Vangen, who saw the sweet pair together while she was out on a walk across the mountains.

Britt, a library assistant, said: “Mette feeding Flippen with bread, and they enjoying each other’s company. He sleeps sometimes outside of her house! It seems like they are best friends – she is always scratching his forehead and feeding him snacks."

Britt said that the elderly woman has no one left in the world; she and her husband never bore children and after he passed away she was left alone - until this hungry stag started dropping by. Mette told her that she is lucky they found each other and that she is grateful the hunters in the area have decided not to shoot the animal, because of their friendship.
