The left side of the frame displays the Sun as a complete circle. It is colored in golden yellow with uneven patches and thin yellow streaks extending from its surface. Different areas have varying levels of brightness, ranging from very bright to nearly black. The entire Sun rotates steadily, completing one full rotation in 12 minutes in the time-lapse video. Only a few bright areas are usually visible at a time, and they flicker and shift akin to small fires. These bright regions are accompanied by wispy loops that extend above the Sun's surface and change shape and size rapidly. On the right side of the frame, there are two squares outlined in white. These squares show magnified views of intriguing sections of the Sun.
