Waxing Gibbous: More than half of the moon is illuminated, gradually increasing towards full moon.
Full Moon: The entire face of the moon is illuminated and visible all night.
Waning Gibbous: The illuminated portion decreases after the full moon.
Last Quarter: Half of the moon is illuminated and visible in the early morning sky.
Waning Crescent: A thin crescent becomes visible shortly before sunrise.
