Professor Yoshiko Koga from Kyorin University claims that eating ice cream for breakfast improves alertness and mental performance. How does he know this? He conducted a clinic trial with multiple subjects that were given three tablespoons of ice-cream when they woke up and found that “subject’s brains exhibited an increase in high-frequency alpha waves, which are connected to enhanced alertness and reduced mental irritation.”
