Caring Doctor Plays Ukulele For A Young Cancer Patient

This footage was filmed in the pediatric oncology ward of the Hospital das Clínicas of Ribeirao Preto, which shows Dr. Paulo Martins playing a song on his ukulele, for the patient, little Sophia. She has a rare disease called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. Dr. Martins brought his ukulele that day to cheer up the older patients. As soon as Sophia heard him play, she started looking for him and so Dr. Martins played a song just for her. How adorable is that?!

Going through cancer treatment is tough, especially at such a young age. This little girl is a trooper for keeping such a positive attitude through her treatment. Dr. Martins is going above and beyond to do his job. Good on him for making everything for his patients just a little bit easier and a little bit less scary.
